OCSD Deputy Gets Probation For Pepper Spray On Pizza
People have all sorts of odd affinities when it comes to pizza toppings, but a chemical that sets your mouth, stomach and intestines on fire generally isn't one of them.

Last summer, Orange County Sheriff's Department deputy Juan Tavera chose to douse a teenager's pizza with pepper spray during a routine traffic stop.  The pie was in the back seat of the car when the event took place, the victim said, and it wasn't until he got home, dug in and his mouth started burning that he realized something was wrong.

The teen …

Abuse 911 Go To Jail

We are lucky to have a system in place that allows us to get into contact with emergency services when we are encountering a serious problem. Things like robberies, domestic violence, and medical emergencies happen every day.

Being able to dial 9-1-1 brings us the people we need to help out during these emergency situations.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who have not been equipped with the ability to understand the difference between an emergency and something that is just a nuisance. Or an imaginary problem.

Since people abuse the 9-1-1 system, laws are in place to deal with those …

Man Arrested In ‘Atomic Wedgie’ Death

An Oklahoma man is reportedly in custody today after police arrested him for the death of his stepfather by pulling his underwear up and out of the back side of his pants and stretching it over his head, a move otherwise known as an 'atomic wedgie'.

Authorities said that 58 year-old Denver St. Clair died a short time later of asphyxiation and trauma to the head.

The incident initially started out as an argument; Brad Davis had invited his stepfather over for drinks but at some point the two got into a disagreement.  One thing quickly led to another and the …

Man Arrested After Fight Over PB Sandwhich

It's unclear whether the sandwich in question involved creamy or chunky peanut butter.

The question as to what type of jelly may or may not have been involved still remains a mystery.

However, an Iowa man was jailed last weekend after he and his brother threw down over peanut butter sandwiches.

Authorities say the dispute broke out after 51 year-old Jerome Davis reportedly ate a half dozen PB sandwiches in about an hour.

This angered his brother for some reason and their disagreement quickly escalated into a shouting match.

At some point the now-defendant pulled out a switch blade and threatened to use it …

Trouble in the Air: In-Flight Crimes

For many people, getting on an airplane can cause a lot of stress.

To help stay calm, and maybe make the flight a little more enjoyable, they may have a drink or two before boarding or take a pill to ease their anxiety.

Others just grit their teeth and bear it.

Once in a while, though, there are those who don’t handle the stress well when they are on an airplane and do things that get them into a lot of trouble in the air.

Here are some memorable ski miles.

Jealous Walmart Employee Opens Fire On Vehicle Of Employee Of The Month

Jealous Walmart Employee Opens Fire On Vehicle Of Employee Of The Month

Tensions at a Florida Walmart were flying high earlier this month, prompting one jealous employee to open fire at a coworkers car.

Why?  Because he was jealous she won employee-of-the-month.

Willie Mitchell started harassing Sonia Diogene shortly after she received the honor.  He felt the only reason she'd done so well was because he frequently helped her do her job, she said, and that he's the one who deserved recognition.

The woman said things got so heated she eventually felt the need to approach a supervisor.  Mitchell kept making threatening remarks, she said, and insisted he "would show her".

Quite a few people …

Ladies: These Unusual Laws Are for You

There are so many unusual laws out there.

And we just know that it’s because someone (often times a man) has done something that made it necessary to enact a law to stop it.

But that doesn’t mean there aren’t laws that are geared specifically to the ladies.
What you can, can’t and must wear
What lady doesn’t love a sassy pair of heels?

Well, check the law books before you bring them out of the closet, because in some cities like Carmel California, you must have a (free) permit to wear them inside the city limits.

The law was enacted to prevent people who …
