It's not often that a person hails a cab to bring them to a hold up.

That is, unless you're 25 year-old Ariana Bolmer.  The incident took place last week.  Although it's unclear how she came up with the plan, it's assumed she realized her wallet was as bare as her pantry.

Bolmer proceeded to hatch what she believed was a fool-proof heist.

Hail a cab- have them take her to the 7-Eleven on Bayshore Boulevard, and then ask the driver to wait around the corner.  If the driver asks why she needs the added privacy, she would pretend like she's a modest shopper and preferred to shop at her own convenience.

It seemed perfect.

The suspect reportedly walked into the store, pulled out a bandana and tied it around her face.  The clerk said she demanded he open the register, or she would start shooting.  He saw a bulge in her pocket but wasn't sure if it was a gun.  The cashier decided he didn't want to find out.

Bolmer reportedly made off with about $180.  A witness who saw the holdup from outside the store saw the suspect enter the cab. They wrote down a description of the girl and the number on the side of the cab. The information was then passed off to local authorities.

It didn't take long for members of the San Francisco Police Department to track the drive down.  The squad car pulled the vehicle over and searched the passenger.  She was forced to relinquish the cash, the bandana and a large chunk of her pride.

The cab driver maintained he had no idea that the girl in the back seat had held up the convenience store. All he knew was that she had requested to be taken to the nearest smoke shop.

It's unclear whether Bolmer was forced to pay the cab's fare, but San Francisco Police Department officials said they didn't charge her for the one-way trip to jail.

The suspect has been charged with receiving stolen property, second degree burglary and robbery.  She has entered a plea of not guilty.
