Recent crime keeps San Diego State University Police on their toes

There's been quite a bit of activity on the SDSU campus this week, according to San Diego State University Police- and it all started with a peeping tom incident.

The incident reportedly took place inside a restroom in the physics building, according to sources, but the suspect was long gone by the time officers arrived.

One day prior to that, a non-student was taken into custody at the campus book store after he unsuccessfully tried to shoplift two text books.  Text books are expensive and are a hot commodity on the black market- as most students are on the lookout for cheap deals.

Robert Landa was charged with petty theft and will need to appear in court later this month.

Fist fight, public intoxication and a snowboard theft, oh my...

Campus police also say a parking lot brawl broke out in lot H, and a passerby called them to report the incident.  All those involved had scattered by the time they arrived, they said, and there's no indication as to why spawned the men to throw down.

In other related parking lot news, a student reported their $800 snowboard had been stolen out of their car.  The theft is believed to have taken place in the overnight hours.

Anyone who has information about the crime is asked to call SDSU police.

And lastly, a suspected drunk college student was seen stumbling around Parking Structure 4 earlier this week.  The caller said they believed the young man was carrying some sort of bottle.

Police responded to the scene a short time later but were no able to find him.
