Five individuals were arrested by the San Diego County Sheriff's Department on March 15 for drug-related charges. A month-long investigation is what led officials to a Fallbrook home where the suspects allegedly kept drugs and stolen property, NBC 7 San Diego reported. The drug charges include possession of heroin.

Law enforcement officials served a search warrant for the home on Juliette Place, which led to the arrest of the individuals inside. Officials said the five suspects arrested for the drug-related charges include Jose Barreto, Erika Favela, Joshua O'Brien, Michael Ochoa and Billy Painter, according to NBC 7.

Ochoa and Barreto who were arrested  for active felony warrant and for alleged possession of heroin. The news report said Favela was arrested for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia and also had an active felony warrant, while O'Brien was arrested for alleged possession of heroin.

Since Painter was considered to be the primary resident of the house, he was issued additional charges. The NBC 7 report stated he was charged with providing a place for distribution of controlled substances and possession of controlled substances. Officials said the controlled substance in Painter's case was methamphetamine.

After arriving at the home with a warrant, police conducted a search to determine if there was any additional illegal activity going on inside Painter's house. NBC said the detectives who made the arrests discovered a collection of rare coins that appeared to be stolen.

The suspects were taken to Vista Detention Facility. The news source did not state whether or not the suspects were being held on bail as they await court appearances. If they are issued bail by a judge, the cost to purchase a bail bond in San Diego is 10 percent of the defendant's total bail amount.
