The Los Angeles Police Department recently arrested a man they suspect is responsible for kidnapping a 10-year-old girl on March 27. According to CBS Los Angeles, police arrested 29-year-old Daniel Martinez on March 31 in the 18200 block of Rayen Street in Northridge, California. Los Angeles Police Department Cmdr. Andrew Smith told the source officers with the department's Robbery-Homicide Division were able to gather information regarding Martinez's whereabouts, which led to his arrest.

Martinez has a criminal record that dates back to 2004. Some of his past charges include burglary, petty theft, grand theft, resisting arrest, unlawful entry and causing bodily injury. He is currently being held in jail on a $1 million Los Angeles bail bond. Although police were able to make the arrest for Martinez, 30-year-old Tobias Summers remains a wanted suspect in connection with the kidnapping. Police have not been able to find him, and believe that he might be hiding somewhere in the San Diego community.

San Diego Police Department Lt. Kevin Mayer told the source Summers is considered to be a highly dangerous person who needs to be taken off the street immediately. He has a criminal record that includes charges such as kidnapping, explosives, and robbery. According to the source, Summers is believed to have been released from jail last July as part of California's realignment program.

Police stated that Summers may have shaved his head in attempt to change his appearance. Police officers from both the LAPD and SDPD are urging anyone with information on the case to come forward.
