It's not uncommon for siblings to fight with one another, but in San Diego, a recent squabble between brothers ended with one being arrested for attempted murder.

It all started late last Friday afternoon when police received a call about an family incident that was unfolding in Rolando.

Although there aren't too many details about the exact circumstances, what is known is that brother #1 seems to have owed brother #2 some money (and when those funds weren't returned as promised, things got a little bit out of hand).

That's when the oldest sibling reached for a pair of hedge clippers and decided to take matters into his own hands.  Officers aren't sure whether he was trying to scare his younger counterpart into coughing up the dough or if he intended to take what was owed to him out of the young man' hide, but regardless as to the intention-  what he did was against the law.

A spokesperson for the San Diego Police Department say he was arrested and booked in at the San Diego Central Jail on attempted murder charges.  Bail bonds information hasn't been made available but based on the charges, it's guaranteed to be well more than the defendant was owed.
