It is believed that Facebook may approached the city on their own.  Elected officials reported said the social media site is very active within the community.  They believe that Facebook may have heard about plans for the substation by keeping up on current local events.   City records show they will be picking up …

5 Things To Not Do In Court

Pinocchio may not have know what to do facing the judge, but in most cases even people who have never been to court before will allow themselves to be guided by common sense.  They will arrive early and dress, act appropriately and tell the truth - hopefully.

Don't show up drunk.  In May of this year, a South Carolina crime victim admitted to drinking a double shot of vodka 30 minutes before her 9 a.m. court appearance.  Officers administered a breathalyzer test …

Sesame Street Teaches Kids I Is For Incarceration

In the United States it is estimated that more than 2.7 million kids have parents that are serving time in state or federal prisons.

Corrections department officers said this reflects an 80% spike from numbers reported 20 years ago.

This, according to Sesame Street representatives, is why they are creating a production that is geared toward helping these children cope with a new series called "Little Children, Big Challenges".

Research shows that about one out of every 28 kids has a parent that is in jail. Some states say their incarceration rate is so high that nearly 10% of resident children have …
