When someone gets arrested, they need to go through the booking process.  Most jails in the Coachella Valley will take approximately 4-8 hours to be process an arrestee into the jail. Generally, an Indio bail bond takes the longest because it is the largest facility and is very busy with their first job of maintaining safety.

Note that a bail bond company can not post a bond until initial processing, known as booking, has been completed.  Prior to the completion of booking, we can complete the bail bond contract and get everything signed and ready. Upon the jail finalizing the booking, then we can finally post the bond. Once the bond has been posted; it usually takes 1-6 hours for the inmate to be released.  Many unforeseen factors effect the processing and release times.  We advise our clients to be patient. Keep in mind that jail is not like checking into, and out of, a hotel.

When somebody is arrested, they are typically brought to one of the local jail facilities for booking.  Listed below are the primary police and sheriff facilities for Coachella Valley.  Each situation is unique and we recommend that you contact our company immediately so that we can locate an inmate. Any delay on your part could result in an inmate being transferred to a different jail facility which could result in further delays in being released.  Since Indio is the largest jail facility in the Coachella Valley, chances are good that this will be a detainee’s final processing location.

Sometimes, our clients will make a decision to visit somebody in jail.  Keep in mind that the jails can be very strict in their rules and no exceptions will be made.  Here are the rules for visiting somebody in a Coachella Valley detention facility (and most of Riverside County).  We recommend that you call the detention facility prior to your visit.  This may save you a lot of time.

• All persons are subject to search.
• No drugs, weapons, cameras or alcohol allowed.
• Anyone violating rules can / will be arrested or lose visiting privilege.
• No smoking, food or drink
• Visitors must be properly clothed. No gang attire, no provocative dress etc.
• Must have proper ID.
• Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Visiting allowed only during visiting hours.
• Bail Bondsman, Clergy, Attorneys and other professionals generally have 24 hour access.

You will want to check with your bondsman or other legal professional to make sure you go to the right court. It is critical that you arrive at the correct courtroom at the proper time.  The judge will not be happy if you arrive late or unprepared.   Sometimes, our clients will miss a court date due to circumstances beyond their control.  If this happens, please call us immediately.
