Prosecutors in Orange County, California, recently charged a man with the murder of his friend. According to The Associated Press, 56-year-old James Gregory Price allegedly shot and killed 24-year-old Justin Soto after Soto allegedly burglarized Price's home. Price and his son were living in the home of his deceased mother, and he suspected Soto had taken items from the mother's bedroom. Price decided to invite Soto back into the home, and the two got into an argument regarding the incident. Price allegedly shot Soto in the leg at one point in the argument. Soto attempted to run away from the home, however, Price fatally shot him twice in the back.

Price is currently being held in jail on a $1 million bail and has an arraignment scheduled for April 4.

Couple arrested for alleged Orange County robbery
A married couple is currently being held at the Orange County jail after they were arrested for an alleged robbery spree. According to Patch.com, 26-year-old Tyler Kovacs and 25-year-old Karen Kovacs were arrested on April 2 by Irvine police at a motel in Yorba Linda. Irvine police Lt. Julia Engen told the source that the duo are suspected of stealing an iPhone outside of a coffee shop in Irvine on April 1. Engen added that Tyler approached a man outside the establishment and asked if he could use his phone. The man struggled to regain possession of his iPhone, however, and Tyler was able to escape the situation by getting into a vehicle allegedly driven by Karen. The couple is also suspected of an attempted robbery in the community.

Engen said that Tyler attempted to steal items from a woman's car after she pulled into her garage. When the woman returned to her vehicle, she discovered he was looking through her car and was able to chase him away from the scene. Nothing was stolen in the attempted car burglary. Tyler and Karen were booked on suspicion of robbery, burglary and conspiracy. Tyler is being held without the chance of bail, and Karen's bail set at $70,000, according to the source.
