A representative from the Pomona Police Department have confirmed that officers have arrested a man who is believed to be the "Mission Impossible" burglar.

Although the suspect was initially booked in at the Huntington Beach Jail he's since been transferred to the Orange County Jail where he's being held on burglary charges; he's also facing one count of committing another crime while out on a community release program from a prior offense.

Jailers have not said what the previous crime relates to, but they did say the second charge has a no bail hold. If that's lifted when he goes to court his Huntington Beach bail bonds will be set at $100,000.

Authorities said the defendant, Steven Krueger got the nickname in the 1990s because he'd break into places through the roof, repel himself into the location and would somehow manage to not trip security devices or alarm systems.

They also believe he's the prime suspect in a similar burglary that took place in May of last year.  In that crime, more than $100,000 of computers were taken.  None of them have been recovered, police said.

Krueger is set to be arraigned later today in one of the Orange County courts.

Law enforcement officials say the arrest was part of a multi-agency operation that included the LA County Probation Department, the Anaheim PD and the Pomona PD.
