If someone you care about has been arrested at Sonoma State University and needs help from a bail bondsman, call Greg 888 Bail Bond immediately at 888-224-5266 for a free consultation.
We are available 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. An agent will take the time to answer all of your questions about the bail bonds process.
Our simple paperwork can be completed by phone, fax, email, or in person. We will arrange to meet with you at whichever location is most convenient, including your home or office.
The Sonoma State University Police Department provides 24-hour protection to the campus community. Officers have full law enforcement powers and responsibilities, the same as any local police and sheriff's officers.
In addition to regional police academy training, officers of the University Police Department receive additional training in first aid, CPR, firearms use, defensive tactics, legal updates, evidence gathering, and traffic accident investigation.
Campus Safety Escorts
To help ensure the safety of students, faculty and staff, Sonoma State PD provides escort services to and from any on-campus locations between dusk and dawn. Daytime escorts are also available by special request. Safety escorts are provided by trained Police Services employees.
Mandated Sex Offender Registration
It is now required for all convicted sex offenders, even those from out-of-state, to register with the University Police Department if they will be living on campus. Sex offenders must register within five days of changing residence locations.
Bicycle Patrol
Combining the use of both vehicle patrols and bicycle patrols is ideal for the campus setting. Bicycle patrols enable officers to make more personal contact with the community. The officer on bike patrol will assist the crime prevention officer with any presentations on crime prevention and personal safety as well.
Arrest and Booking
When someone is arrested on campus, they will be transported to the Sonoma County Jail for booking. This process will include being fingerprinted and photographed, and having a background check and warrant search done.
If the individual is not cited and released, they will be given a bail amount determined by the county bail schedule. If they are not bailed out, either by cash bail or bond, then they will stay in jail for the duration of the court case.
