    This jail is primarily for those that have been sentenced by the Sacramento County Courts and thus would not be eligible for bail bonds.

    Others housed here are eligible to be bailed out, so please call us if you are uncertain.

    The Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center is a reception point for individuals that have violated parole and those who are in the process of being transferred to California State Prisons.  This facility staffs approximately 200 Sheriff’s Department employees. If you are picking up an inmate from this facility, you should arrive at the gatehouse from 5:00am to 5:30am.  If the inmate does not have a ride, they will be transported to the Sacramento Main Jail.
