Here is an inside look at the process, a “what happens behind closed doors” if you will, at the San Mateo County Brendon P. Maguire Correctional Facility, named after the San Mateo County sheriff who helped found it. The MCF opened in 1994. It is six stories tall and its top five floors are used to house inmates.
