Holy Smokes Batman: Spidey And Captain America Are In A Brawl

Costumed superheroes can often been seen walking along Hollywood Blvd.  This is not a hobby for the masked crime fighters.  It is instead a way for them to gain income.  Tourists can tip the spandex-clad men and women in order to cozy up along side them for various photo opportunities.

As you can imagine, times are tough for superheroes.  The economy has taken a toll on them, as well.

The competition along Hollywood Blvd. has become fierce.  Earlier last week, one Spider Man and two Captain Americas got into an all out brawl in some sort of turf war.

The not-so-super-friends started …

The controversial Maricopa County Sheriff first took office in 1992.

Since that time he has received national notoriety for being America's Toughest Sheriff. His jails broadcast 4 hours of classical music, Frank Sinatra and opera music through the jails loudspeakers each day.

Cable television programming is required to be provided under federal law.  Arpio's detention centers, though, only …

Three 20-something Pacific Beach men have been arrested and booked into the San Diego Central Jail.

Does Crime Pay? (Infographic)

It's an age-old question: Does Crime Pay?

We all have a fascination with heists and the bigger the better. Movies like The Italian Job and Ocean’s Eleven (and Twelve and Thirteen) have us rooting for the criminals who have planned very clever and created elaborate schemes to get their hands on millions of dollars.

When it happens in real life, we are happy to see justice done and for the bad guys to get caught.

Some of the greatest heists on record have been worth millions of dollars to sneaky criminals. Those big bucks lead to a lot of temptation, with people …

Medical Marijuana For Kids? NJ Governor Is Wary

Medical marijuana use is legal in 18 states now. This is old news in California which was the first state to legalize marijuana for medical use in 1996.

New Jersey is a late comer having adopted the legalization in 2011. While advocates are plenty, use by minors still remains controversial.

California and New Jersey alike allow for physicians to prescribe MMJ, as it's known, to minors.

However, New Jersey's Governor is wary about allowing medical marijuana to be dispensed to children.

Chris Christie said he'll have the health commissioner take a look at the pros and cons and report back, but at the …

LAPD Allows Bear To Play Through At Los Angeles Golf Course

Golf play at the Knollwood Country Club was suspended for several hours yesterday after a bear wandered onto the course.   The LAPD reportedly invoked a "Bear Paws" rule, which allows human golfers to be removed from the green in order to maintain the peace.   Players said they received notification just before 7 a.m. that a fuzzy creature was seen wandering in the vicinity of hole 11.

Knollwood employees took to the course in a golf court in order to wrangle those who had not gotten the message.  One player said that from afar, it looked like a large dog.  Upon …

Did You Know Bail Bonds Are Insurance Policy for Public Safety

It is surprising to many people that commercial bail agencies are a part of the state insurance industry. Bail agents and companies are regulated by the State Department of Insurance similar to home, auto and health insurers. They must follow regulations set by the Department and be licensed just as any other insurance agent. This is because a bail bond is, in actuality, a type of insurance policy.

A bail bond is an insurance policy that is taken out by a defendant and his family or friend that makes a guarantee to the court that the defendant will reappear in …
