The City of San Mateo is situated in the San Francisco Bay Area. It was incorporated in 1894 and has grown to a population of nearly 100,000. The residents of the area enjoy a mild Mediterranean climate.

Even in the most pleasant areas, a person can find themselves in trouble with the law. If you have a friend or family member who has been arrested by the San Mateo Police Department, finding a bail bondsman you can trust will help ensure they get released from jail in as little time as possible.

888 Bail Bond can help 24-hours a day, 7-days a week.  Our simple paperwork can be completed by phone, fax, email or in person. You'll be pleasantly surprised by how quick and easy it can be to get your loved one out of jail.

When you call us locally at 888-224-5266 or toll free at 888-BAIL-BOND, a bondsman will be available to answer all of your questions and get a bail bond approved over the phone.

After San Mateo was incorporated in 1894, a Town Marshal was appointed as the chief law enforcement officer of the city. Constables and Night Watchmen provided police services under the supervision of the Marshal. A 3-man police department was established in 1907 as the city began to grow.

Since that time, the San Mateo Police Department has taken the approach of Community Oriented Policing. With the help of citizens, private businesses, service organizations, utility companies, city services and outside governmental agencies, they strive to strengthen the quality of life for everyone living in the community.

    ARREST AND BOOKING

When someone is arrested in San Mateo, they will be taken to either the Maguire Correctional Facility (men) or the San Mateo Women's Correctional Center. Once there, they will be booked into the justice system. This will include being searched, fingerprinted, photographed, and running a background check and warrant search.

The booking process can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours to complete, depending on how busy staff members are when someone is brought in.

A bail amount will be set according to the San Mateo County bail schedule and once booking is complete, someone will be able to post bail for them. This can be done by either paying cash bail for the full amount directly to the jail or court, or by using the services of a licensed bail bondsman.

With bail amounts in California being among the highest in the nation, paying even a bondsman's fee can be a little difficult to afford. We offer various bail bond payments including any major credit card. In many cases, we will be able to make a payment plan for those who need it and qualify.

There is usually no need for collateral when securing a bond with us.
