ARREST & BOOKING
When someone is arrested in La Mesa, they will be transported to a nearby San Diego County Jail for booking. During this process, the arrestee will be fingerprinted and photographed, a background check and warrant search will be done, and they will be searched for any weapons, drugs or contraband. Personal belongings will be collected and held until their release from jail.
Booking can take between 2 and 4 hours to complete, depending on how busy jail staff members are at the time an arrestee is brought in. Once booking is complete, we will be able to post a bond for them 24-hours a day.
BAIL BOND PROCESS
The process of obtaining a bail bond for a friend or family member is simpler than you may think. You can get bail bonds online fax or email, and in person.
We can meet with you in our office or an agent will arrange to meet with you at your home or work, or the jail.
The cost of a bail bond is 10% of the total bail amount. So, if the defendant’s bail is $10,000 then the fee will be $1,000. In addition to cash, we offer several convenient payment options. We accept all major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
Payment plans are also available for those who qualify. There are no additional costs or fees, whichever payment method you choose.
