Bail Bond Process & Cost
RELEASE & PAYMENT OPTIONS
You should be aware that we cannot post a bond until the arrest and booking procedures are complete, which can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours. However, we can start the bail bond process right away. If the defendant is not bailed out, he or she will generally remain in custody until the matter has been resolved in court.
The cost for a bail bond in California is genrally 10% of the full bail, which is a mandated pecentage by California Department of Insurance. For example, should the bail amount be $10,000, your portion will be $1,000. This is a non-refundable percentage of the total bail set. We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and cash to pay for the bond. Most of our clients find that using a credit card is the fastest, easiest choice.
Once the bail bond paperwork is complete, one of our licensed agents will post the bond at the jail. This will result in the release of the defendant. The entire bail bond process can typically be completed within 1 to 2 hours.
