VICTOR VALLEY SHERIFF STATION AND JAIL INFORMATION
The Victor Valley Sheriff Station provides law enforcement services to the communities of Adelanto, Helendale, Oro Grande, Silver Lakes, El Mirage, Spring Valley Lake, Oak Hills, Wrightwood and the unincorporated areas of the Victor Valley such as Hesperia, Victorville and the Town of Apple Valley. In 2001, the City of Adelanto began to contracting with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department for law enforcement services.
Lucerne Valley Substation
The Lucerne Valley Substation has one sergeant, one detective and six deputies who are responsible for 900-plus miles of farming, ranching, commercial businesses and residential areas located within a wide range of mountainous and remote desert terrain.
The Phelan Substation
This station has one sergeant, one detective, and eleven deputies who are responsible for law enforcement services in Phelan, Pinon Hills, Wrightwood, West Cajon Valley, as well as portions of Oak Hills and El Mirage.
When someone has been arrested by the Victor Valley Sheriff, they will be taken to the Victor Valley Sheriff Station jail for arraignment. While in custody, they will be booked and processed into the system. Some defendants may be transferred to the West Valley Detention Center if there are any medical issues. If they are transferred to this larger facility, their release time could increase quite a lot.
The booking process when someone is arrested includes photographs, fingerprints, and background checks.
