FOOTHILL STATION JAIL
If your friend or family member has been arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department in the valley communities of Tujunga, Lakeview Terrace, Sun Valley (North of The 5 Freeway), Sunland, Arleta or Shadow Hills, they will be taken to the LAPD Foothill Station Jail. The Foothill Area has a population of approximately 182,214 people, covers approximately 46.13 square miles. The booking process will begin right after the defendant is arrested and fingerprinted. If the arrestee does not make bail while they are at Foothill, they will be transferred to the Los Angeles County jail where held until their first court date, which typically takes place in approximately three business days.
BAIL BOND PAYMENT OPTIONS
A bail bond at the Foothill Jail generally costs 10%, which is mandated by California law. This is a non-refundable percentage of the total amount of the bail. For example, should the bail amount be $20,000, your portion will cost $2,000. It’s that easy. We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. However, most of our clients find it easiest and most convenient to pay using their credit card. At 888 Bail Bonds, we know the cost of the bail bond can be more than you have on hand. That’s why we offer our clients several payment options. For more information, you may watch our bail payment option video. In many cases, we can also offer no collateral bail bonds.
RELEASE FROM FOOTHILL JAIL
Once the bail bond paperwork and payment have been arranged, we know you will be eager for their release. When you do bail someone out of the Foothill Jail they should expect to be released within two to six hours, depending upon their individual case. The Foothill Jail staff cannot let us know exactly when the defendant will be released, but once they are, they will have access to a phone.
As a note, if someone is being detained in the Foothill jail and you would like to bail them out faster, it is better to do so while they are still being held there as it is a smaller facility. However, should they be transferred to one of the larger Los Angeles facilities (Twin Towers or Lynwood), expect to have it take much longer for their release.
Our licensed bail agents can always provide you with information specific to your individual case.
