Tulare County covers broad territory in California’s Central Valley. The Western half of the County consists mainly of farmland. The rich and fertile soil helps to make Tulare County one of the leading producers of agricultural commodities in the nation.

Most of the Eastern half of the County is divided among several popular tourist destinations. Tulare County is the home of Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks, Sequoia National Forest and National Monument and the Golden Trout, Mineral King and Domelands Wilderness Areas. The Tulare County Sheriff's Department is responsible for law enforcement covering the diverse territory in the County. Public information about detained individuals

The Sheriff’s Department is limited in what information can be released about those in custody. The following facts about the inmate are considered public and may be requested and examined by anyone for any reason.

Name

• Age
• City of residence
• Location (general area) where arrest was made
• Date of the arrest
• Charges against the accused
• Bail amount
• Booking photos (must be authorized by the arresting agency)

The Sheriff’s Office transportation division considers court dates to be a security issue so court dates are not public information.

Call the Booking Sergeant at the facility where the inmate is housed to obtain the available public information.

Men are booked at the Main Jail Facility and women are booked at the Bob Wiley Detention Facility.  Inmates may be moved to a different housing facility after booking.
