The North County Detention Facility sits on almost 16 acres and primarily holds sentenced inmates. Inmate programs are coordinated by a program officer. This benefits both the inmates and the County.

There are currently over 200 work crew inmates in a variety of work details on and off-site. For an inmate to be eligible for the work crew programs, they are classified at booking and cannot have any violence charges, history of escape histories, or disciplinary behavior problems.
