SAN PABLO POLICE DEPARTMENT & JAIL INFORMATION

The San Pablo Police Department is a full service community-based law enforcement agency, consisting of fifty-seven (57) sworn police officers and twenty-one (21) civilian employees. The Department strives to offer exceptional police service to the public and works diligently to ensure that the public’s safety and welfare remains paramount to that mission.

The police agency's Administration is separated into three major divisions; Patrol, Investigations, and Support Services; and managed by the Chief of Police, a Captain, three Lieutenants, and ten Sergeants.

Those taken into custody by the San Pablo Police Department will be transferred to the Martinez jail. During the booking process, the defendant may be interviewed, fingerprinted, booked and necessary reports will need to be filled out and entered into the system.

    BAIL RESPONSIBILITIES & COSTS

When bailing someone out of the Martinez Jail, they should be released within 2 to 4 hours, depending upon their individual case. However, once bailed out, it is very important that the indemnitor (the signer of the bail bond) makes sure the defendant attends every court date without fail.

A warrant for their arrest may be issued by the judge if they do fail to appear. This is also called a “forfeiture.” Generally, a missed court appearance is usually a simple mistake which can be corrected with a phone call to our bail company.

A bail bond in San Pablo, as well in all of California by law will generally cost a fee of 10%. For example, if the bail amount is set at $20,000, the fee will be $2,000. Our company never charges additional fees or taxes for a bail bond.

You will always be aware of the the exact cost of the bond prior to signing the bail bond contract.

As a convenience to our clients, we also offer various bond payment options. We accept cash, VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover as payment. Most of our clients like the convenience of using their credit card, which can be the fastest way of obtaining a bail bond.
