Deputies based in the Bridgeport Office patrol the north county territory. This is the main office of the Sheriff’s Department and handles all activities relating to administration, finance, civil cases and the Mono County Jail. Mono County has only one incorporated place (Mammoth Lakes) as designated by the US Census Service. The North County Office serves the communities of Bridgeport, Walker, Topaz and Coleville.

The deputies assigned to the June Lake Substation patrol the central county area. This substation does not have full time staffing because the deputies are generally out in the field performing their patrol duties. There is a phone at the substation that provides a direct line to contact Dispatch at the main Sheriff’s Office in Bridgeport. The communities of Conway Ranch, Lee Vining, June Lake and Mono City are located in this area.

Deputies working at the Crowley Lake Substation patrol the communities of Crowley Lake, Paradise, Swall Meadows, Benton Hot Springs, Hammil Valley, Oasis, Chalfant, Sunnyslopes, Tom’s Place and White Mountain Estates. Similar to the June Lake Substation, Crowley Lake Substation is not staffed full time. The detective assigned to south county is permanently stationed at this substation but may not be present because of conducting investigations in the field. As with the June Lake Substation, there is a phone at this office that connects directly with Dispatch at the Main Sheriff’s Office in Bridgeport.
