    Located in California's Central Valley, Glenn County spans 1,327 square miles and is home to more than 28,000 residents. The Glenn County Sheriff's Department provides law enforcement services to the unincorporated areas of the county. It is also responsible for overseeing the County Jail, Dispatch, and acts as the county coroner. In addition to street patrols, boat patrols serve to protect residents on county waterways.

    Anyone arrested in Glenn County will be transported to the Glenn County Jail for booking. The booking process could take several hours to complete and generally consists of fingerprinting, photographs, background check and warrant search. They will also be searched for any weapons and contraband. Personal property will be collected and held until their release from the jail.  After they are completely booked in, the inmate will be able to post bail and gain release from jail.

    Visitation for male inmates is done on Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Female inmates have their visitation on Monday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
