    Concord's Community Policing Program is an award-winning program that serves as an example to other local city governments.

    When an individual is arrested in Concord, they will be  taken to a temporary holding facility at the Concord Police Station. Release from this jail facility can typically take between 2  to 4 hours depending on the individual case and how busy the staff and facility is.

    After 24 hours, they will be transported to the Martinez Jail for booking and processing. A transfer generally results in additional processing for the defendant, both out of the local station jail and into Martinez Jail.

    We always recommend bailing someone out while they are still being held at the smaller jail facility for a much faster release. You should know that a period of time may pass before the jail has information of a defendant's arrest.
