A four-year veteran of the San Diego Police Department shot a man in North Park the night of November 17 after the man had been firing shots in the street, the North County Times reported.
Police said the 55-year-old man identified as Timothy James Farrell had been dressed in camouflage and firing a rifle near University Avenue and Louisiana Street around 7:30 p.m. Police instructed the man to lower the gun, but he refused and instead aimed it at the police officers on the scene.
