Representatives within the San Joaquin Sheriff's Department have confirmed that deputies arrested a burglar after he was captured by a local pastor.  The Stockton Baptist Church has been broken into numerous times in the past week, said clergymen.   The next time the alarm went off the alarm company placed a call to the Pastor to alert him of the issue.  He proceeded to travel toward the church to investigate matters for himself.

Kidnapping suspect held on $1 million bail bond

The Los Angeles Police Department recently arrested a man they suspect is responsible for kidnapping a 10-year-old girl on March 27. According to CBS Los Angeles, police arrested 29-year-old Daniel Martinez on March 31 in the 18200 block of Rayen Street in Northridge, California. Los Angeles Police Department Cmdr. Andrew Smith told the source officers with the department's Robbery-Homicide Division were able to gather information regarding Martinez's whereabouts, which led to his arrest.

Martinez has a criminal record that dates back to 2004. Some of his past charges include burglary, petty theft, grand theft, resisting arrest, unlawful entry and causing bodily injury. He is currently being …

The Los Angeles Police Department is currently searching for two men suspected of kidnapping a 10-year-old girl from her home and holding her hostage for about 12 hours. According to The Associated Press, investigators are trying to determine how the young girl ended up with cuts and bruises on her face and body. The child told investigators that after removing her from her home, the two strangers took her to various locations before dropping her off at a nearby hospital.

Santa Cruz Jail Inmate Accidentally Released

A spokesperson for the Santa Cruz Jail has confirmed that an inmate has been mistakenly released.  Authorities say the mix-up occurred when the man in question posed as another inmate who had a similar height, weight, build and name.    An investigation team is currently looking into why the man's identity was not properly verified prior to letting the man go.

Prosecutors recently pressed charges against one of convicted killer Charles Manson's followers after the man allegedly attempted to smuggle a cell phone into prison to give to Manson. According to the Los Angeles Times, 63-year-old Craig Carlisle Hammond was charged with possession of an illegal communication device. Hammond goes by the name Gray Wolf, which was given to him by Manson during one of his many visits to the former cult leader.

Man Rearrested 24-Hours After Release From Marin Jail

A spokesperson for the Marin County Jail said a Novato man who had been released on bail was rearrested within 24-hours.

Defendant Grant Wehr was first apprehended by authorities last weekend.  The incident unfolded after police said they pulled him over on suspicion of driving while under the influence.  Police said Wehr became argumentative and refused to cooperate.  They then discovered the defendant was in possession of an undisclosed amount of illegal drugs.  He was transported to the county jail and charged on suspicion of DUI, possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.  Bail information for this arrest was …

Los Angeles police evacuated the Beverly Center mall on March 24 after a man informed officers that a mysterious package had been placed in the back of his vehicle.
