Women are highly sought after for jobs in California law enforcement, but according to Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens, many are not interested in becoming deputies because of misconceptions about the job.

A woman who was arrested for attempting to set a lingerie store on fire is being held at the Orange County Central Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.

The 42-year-old woman, Jennifer Renee Colwell, gathered trash around the store and was spotted by an Orange County sheriff's deputy throwing a flaming, gasoline-soaked pillow at the business on October 2, the Orange County Register reported. Douglas Joseph Jackovich and Kirk Ray Butterfas of the Forming Kaos gang were sentenced to serve 100 months and 41 months in prison, respectively. FBI agents found the gang to be a subservient criminal organization to the Mexican Mafia's activities in Orange County, according to OC Weekly.
