UPLAND POLICE STATION & JAIL INFORMATION

The Upland Police Department is staffed by the dispatch center 24 hours a day. Their Crime Prevention Unit conducts programs such as Neighborhood Watch, Business Watch, Citizen's Academy, safety inspections, school programs, as well as various other services offered to the community. The Uniform Patrol unit is the largest unit which is comprised of 57 sworn officers assigned as initial responders for all calls within the City of Upland.

If someone is arrested in Upland, they will be transported the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga for booking and processing into the jail system.  This is one of the largest jail facilities in California.

The booking process can consist of background checks, fingerprints, photographs and checking for any previous warrants or holds. This process can take up to 3 to 6 hours to complete. It's important to understand that if the defendant is not bailed out, they will remain in custody until their first arraignment.

    BAIL POSTING PROCESS

When you contact us, we will need to collect detailed information about the person in custody.

In general, information such as the amount of the bail, when the individual was arrested, the type charges, amount of time in their current residence, employment status, etc., are helpful for us to know in order to assess the risk in underwriting the bond.

When the bond has been approved, the necessary forms will need to be signed. Both our bail application and contract are two very simple and easy to understand documents.

When you bail someone out of jail in San Bernardino County, they should expect to be released within four to six hours or more, depending upon the defendant's individual circumstances.

Our team of professional bondsmen can help you understand how the bail bond process works and answer any questions you may have completely and privately.

    COST OF A BAIL BOND

A bail bond in San Bernardino generally costs 10%. This is the non-refundable percentage of the total amount of the bail mandated by the California Department of Insurance. To use an example, if the bail amount is $20,000, your portion will cost $2,000.

We understand not everyone may have A-1 credit score. However, most of our customers find it easy to qualify for a bail bond payment option that meets your budgetary requirements.

When you're ready, we can have a licensed bondsman meet with you directly at the location of your choice, or at the jail. We want to know what's more convenient for you.

We also offer fast, friendly and convenient service by handling all of the paperwork by fax or email. Once the paperwork is complete, we'll have an agent quickly on the way to post the bond.

We've been helping people with bail for nearly 40 years. Trust in our expertise to help you get through this time.
