COST OF A BAIL BOND
If the amount of bail is low enough, it may be possible to pay the full amount directly to the jail or courthouse. This will have to be paid with cash or cashier's check, or suitable collateral may be accepted for payment. This money will be returned upon completion of the court case, so long as the defendant makes it to all court appearances.
In California, bail amounts are among the highest in the country, so paying the amount on your own may not be possible. Seeking the help of a licensed bondsman can help ease the financial burden you face when a loved one has been arrested.
The cost of a bail bond in California is set by the Department of Insurance at 10%. This means that, if bail is set at $10,000, you will pay a non-refundable fee of $1,000 to a bail bond agent. We can work with you to help make it easier to pay for a bail bond.
Let our family help yours get through this difficult situation.
