COLORADO RIVER SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT SUBSTATION

The Riverside Sheriff's Department operates a Colorado River Substation in Blythe which serves the Colorado River area. Law enforcement services are provided to the unincorporated area from Red Cloud Road on the west, to the Arizona state line on the east, and to each county line to the north and the south. The communities served by this station are the Colorado River Indian Tribe, Desert Center, Eagle Mountain, East Blythe, Midland, Nicholls Warm Springs, and Ripley.

If someone is arrested by Sheriff's Deputies in the Colorado River area, they will be transported to the Blythe Jail Facility for booking. This process will include fingerprints and photographs being taken, and a background search and warrant check being done. Any personal property the defendant has at the time of arrest will be cataloged and held until their release.

Once they've been booked in, the defendant will be given a bail amount according to the Riverside County bail schedule. They will then have the option of paying cash for the bond themselves, or through a friend or family member, or to seek the help of a licensed California bondsman.
