The West Valley Station is part of the Valley Bureau of the Los Angeles Police Department. This station services the communities of Canoga Park, Encino, Mandeville Canyon, Northridge, Reseda, Tarzana, Warner Center, West Hills, and Woodland Hills.

The West Valley Station covers about 52 square miles. The jurisdiction is from the Santa Monica Mountains on the south, Chatsworth and Roscoe Blvd on the north, Van Nuys on the east and the city limit (Calabasas) on the west.

West Valley's 350 sworn officers serve nearly 300,000 residents. West Valley officers patrol over 750 street miles!

ARRESTED IN WEST VALLEY AREA

When an individual is arrested in the West Valley Area, they will be taken to the West Valley Station for booking. Rather than jail housing, the West Valley Station has holding cells.

An individual generally will go through the booking process and may be interviewed by a police officer before being transferred to the Van Nuys Jail. At that point, they would likely be eligible for bail.
