Some arrestees may remain overnight and go to court the following day. The booking process typically consists of fingerprinting, background and warrant checks along with entering their information into the computer system.

Very often, defendants will be transported to the Monterey Park Police Department Station jail as they are contracted with San Gabriel P.D. for their jail facilities. Further, should the defendant have a medical condition, they will likely be transported to the  either Twin Towers if they are male, or CRDF, also known as Lynwood Jail if they are female.

It's important to know that the booking process can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours to complete. A bail bond can be posted at any Los Angeles jail 24 hours a day.
