Inmates housed here have the ability to participate in outdoor exercise and are permitted open area visits with family members and friends. Inmates also participate in work crews assigned to maintenance or the cleanup of highways.
In 1977, two of the eighty-six bed barracks were destroyed by fire. In 1986, one of the barracks was restored. Stanislaus county obtained a salvaged military building and moved it onto an area immediately adjacent to the barracks lost to fire. This is the building, along with three eighty-six bed barracks which are currently utilized.
During the arrest and booking process of the defendant at the Honor Farm, bail will be set by the Stanislaus County bail bonds schedule. After they have been booked, if applicable, the defendant will have several options for release.

VISITING INFORMATION
If you are planning to visit an inmate at the Honor Farm, you must adhere to all facility visiting rules and regulations. Special visits may occur prior to the approval process with the approval of the shift supervisor. Inmate visiting will be held on Saturday and Sunday. The specific day and time will be based on the first initial of the inmate’s last name.
All visitors must fill out the inmate visitor request form prior to their visit. Visitors must do this in order to receive approval for visiting an inmate. If all fields on the request form are not completed fully and legibly, the receiving deputy may not be able to accept the visit form.
The visitor approval clerk will then review every request for approval. They will return a copy of the visitor approval form and notify the inmate what visitors were approved or disapproved to visit. Visit request forms will be reviewed by the clerk within 24 hours, but no later than 72 hours from the time the form was submitted.
