The San Luis Obispo County Jail correctional facility serves all of San Luis Obispo County for arrests transported from city police departments, California Highway Patrol, and State Parks. It's primary objective is to detain individuals in a safe and secure environment while also providing protection to the community. Approximately 19,000 people are booked into the San Luis Obispo county jail each year for a variety of crimes and charges.
