Let's face it - being in jail is no fun and most people are surprised to find themselves there. Whether a defendant is being held at the Theo Lacy jail in the city of Orange or other jail locations in Orange County and California you likely want to insure a prompt release.

You will want to be sure you deal with an experienced, licensed California bail bond agent. Generally, a competent bail bond company should take 2-4 hours to get an inmate released (some exceptions apply, of course, as every case is different).

Please call our bail bond company locally at 949-733-2245 or 714-835-2245.  You can also call us toll free at 888-224-5266. 888 Bail Bonds provides 24 hour free information for your Theo Lacy bail bond situation.

    THEO LACY JAIL INFORMATION

Those arrested in Orange County are generally first booked into the Central Jail Complex in Santa Ana. Inmates are sometimes released from Orange County Jail on their own recognizance (also known as O.R.) or they may post bail utilizing a licensed bail bondsman.

To get inmate information at the Theo Lacy Jail, you may call the jail/custody operations at (714) 647-4666. You can also access inmate information on line our Orange County Inmate Search. When inquiring about inmate information, you must have inmate's first and last name, as well as his or her date of birth

When defendant gets sentenced by a local judge, the inmate may do their time at the Central Jail Complex or Theo Lacy Jail or at the James Musick jail in Irvine. Those requiring more extensive sentences may be sent to State Prisons located in other parts of California.

The Theo Lacy jail first opened its doors in 1960 and originally maintained an inmate capacity of roughly 425 inmates. The jail has grown to an inmate capacity of approximately 2,000 inmates and is currently the largest correctional facility in Orange County. A Theo Lacy bail bond can be posted at the main reception area of the jail. Some inmates have been sentenced to serve time by local judges and some simply are held for temporary housing pending resolution of their court cases.

The facility also manages a work program that permits inmates to perform community service rather than being incarcerated. Many of the inmates are employed within the jail performing duties such as cooking, cleaning and maintenance duties. The Theo Lacy jail is located across the street from the popular shopping mall known as "The City". Those viewing the jail from the street may conclude that the well disguised jail is a simple office building.

Being incarcerated can be a humbling experience. Most of our clients have never been in jail. Our clients are usually arrested for misdemeanors such at DUI's, Domestic Violence, simple drug possession, shoplifting and similar types of crimes. Our bail bond clients come from all walks of life including students, teachers, nurses and other professionals. It is rare that we deal with violent felonies involving criminals such as carjackers or murderers.

The inmates detained at the Theo Lacy Facility are not allowed to receive outside phone calls. They are allowed to make an initial phone call to advise someone of their location and their situation. Afterwards, they are required to have a calling card to make any outgoing calls.

    THEO LACY BAIL BONDS

When you utilize a bail bondsman, you will generally pay the bail bond company 10% of the total bail amount. For example, if the bond is set at $7,500, you will typically pay your bondsman a fee $750. This fee is known as the premium and is non-refundable when the inmate has been released from custody.

Don't fret if you can't pay the bondsman's fee because most of our clients are eligible for a payment plan. If you need professional bail bond services, we ask that you please call us at 949-733-2245 or 714-835-2245.
