The Morongo Basin Station is the third largest Sheriff's station in area and number of calls for law enforcement services within San Bernardino County.

The station's area of responsibility are the incorporated communities of Twenty-nine Palms and the Town of Yucca Valley, as well as the unincorporated communities of Morongo Valley, Landers, Johnson Valley, Joshua Tree, Wonder Valley, Pioneertown, Amboy, Cadiz and Flamingo Heights.

The station is part of the county's Law and Justice Complex located in Joshua Tree.

When someone is arrested in the Morongo area, they will be transferred to the Morongo Basin Station which houses three courtrooms and a "Type I" jail. This facility is a temporary holding facility capable of housing 79 inmates. While there, they will be booked and processed and await their arraignment.

If they are not bailed out from this smaller facility, some inmates will be transported to the much larger West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.

If the defendant is not bailed out from jail, he or she will generally remain in custody until the matter has been resolved in court. We can post a bond at either one of these facilities, 24 hours a day.

    BAIL COSTS & RESPONSIBLITIES
