The LASD Compton Sheriff Station is centrally located in the Los Angeles area. The Compton Station currently has 6 active Reserve Deputies and 1 Reserve Deputy Recruit. Reserve deputies are utilized to supplement the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department law enforcement manpower.

The station is easily accessible from the (105) Century freeway, the (91) Riverside/Artesia freeway, the (110) Harbor freeway and the (710) Long Beach freeway. The City of Compton is a balanced community, with an industrial base, residential areas and commercial centers located throughout the city.

The Compton Station is serviced by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department and is a smaller facility. There is no jail or holding cell there. Therefore, inmates (both male and female) will be transported to the Century Regional Detention Facility (CRDF) in Lynwood for booking and processing.

The arrest and booking process consists of photographing, fingerprinting, and a computer database search. It’s important to know that the booking process can take several hours to complete and a bond cannot be posted until the process is finished.

However, as professional bondsmen, we can help you get the bail started right away.

It is possible for bail to be posted at most of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Jails 24 hours a day. It’s important to know that if the defendant is not bailed out, he or she will generally remain in custody until the matter has been resolved in a court of law.

The public may visit inmates at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department jail facilities. However, it is suggested to call ahead of time to confirm visiting hour schedules if you are planning to visit a friend, loved one or family member in jail.

You may call to speak with a licensed bail bondsman to find out more about how bail bonds work.

For additional information about inmates, arrest and bail bonds for the Compton Sheriff Department, call us 24 hours a day.
