It's important to know that if the defendant is not bailed out at this time, they will remain in custody until their first arraignment.

    THE BAIL PROCESS

When you contact us, we’ll start by asking  just a few quick questions to begin the bail process. Initially, we’ll require the defendant's name, jail location and date arrested. We'll ask a few simple questions in order to determine how we can best help you.

When you're ready to move forward with the process, there is basic bail bond paperwork to sign. Both our application and contract are required by law, but are easy to understand documents. We can process the paperwork and payment by fax or email. Alternatively, we can also meet with you directly at the  jail, or at a location of your choosing.

When signing a bail bond contract, the indemnitor (the bail contract signer) will assume responsibility to make sure the defendant returns to court as instructed. It's important that you clearly understand your responsibilities as an indemnitor prior to signing for a bond.

We can answer any question you have regarding bail, so you'll feel comfortable with the details.

    BAIL COSTS

Bail amounts are set according to the charges and each individual county bail schedule and bail bond fees are regulated by the California Department of Insurance.  A bail bond in Kern County will cost 10% of the total bail amount.
