If someone you know has been arrested in the Gilroy area, arrestees will typically be transported to the Main County Jail Complex in San Jose.

When a bail bond is posted at this facility, release can often take between 2 to 4 hours depending on the individual case and how busy the facility is.

The booking process when someone is arrested includes photographs, fingerprints, and background checks. This process can generally take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours or more depending on the individual situation of the defendant.

It’s important to know that we cannot post a bond until the defendant is completely booked into the system.

BAIL BOND PAYMENT OPTIONS

A bail bond in Gilroy will typically cost 10%, which is mandated by California law. This is a non-refundable percentage of the total amount of the bail. As an example, if the bail amount is set at $15,000, your portion would cost $1,500.

If the defendant is not bailed out from jail, he or she will generally remain in custody until the matter has been resolved in court.
